About Nicole Lisa

I am a native to Brooklyn, New York. I have over 10 years working with the Department of Education (DOE) and the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD). I have known from  early on that Education was my calling!

I was educated within the NYC Public School Education System. I received my Bachelors of Science from CUNY York College with a major in Anthropology and a minor in Psychology. Later, I  graduated from St. John's University with a Master of Science with a dual concentration of Childhood and Special Education.

I wish to eliminate the stigmas and myth surrounding Special Education especially in the Black community. I work with schools to provide coaching to Special Education teachers especially first year teachers to address the needs of both the student and the educator. We, as a team, develop and implement best practices to ensure the growth and success of the teacher and student. I also provide workshops and advocacy training for parents within the school and private setting.
